Zamioculcas is a genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family, containing the single species Zamioculcas zamiifolia. It is a tropical perennial plant native to East Africa, from southern Kenya to south-eastern South Africa. The ZZ plant has attractive dark green leaves, which make it best for offices and homes. It is drought tolerant and accepts low light conditions. The flowers of ZZ plants are very rare when grown indoors, but ZZ plants can produce small white flowers and almost identical to the flowers of a peace lily. The ZZ plant is an excellent air purifier according to NASA, ZZ Plant removes toxins such as xylene, toluene, and benzene from the air.

ZZ Plant Planting and Care
- The soil should be well-drained and fertile, rich in organic matter.
- Indirect / artificial light is ideal for growing ZZ Plant.
- Apply water probably in the morning or evening.
- Do not over-water the plant.
- Feed the plant with organic fertilizer once every two months.
- Remove dead, infected, or damaged plant parts and dispose of them away from plants.
